Mother's Day Tea

Last Friday was the Mother's Day Tea for all the first graders and their moms. The kids have been preparing for this day for months and were really excited for it. The tea started off with the moms waiting in the hall for their daughter/son to meet them at the door with a coursage and flower and then to be escorted to their table. They then served their mom punch and a plate full of goodies. We then went into the gym were the kids sang us songs and read stories about moms. What a great day! It sure made my Mother's Day special. It is so great to be a mom!!!

Rylie was all smiles.

The kids had so much fun honoring their moms.

The tables were decorated with flowers and fruit.

Rylie did great reading her part from the book, "What Moms Can't do."

I love the Mother's Tea! Tissue corsages and time with your family is what Mother's day is all about.
